Iceland is indeed on Facebook
Icelanders hold a world record in Facebook activity according to Buzzpoint marketing research.
More than 150,000 Icelandes have a Facebook account or almost half of the 320,000 population of the country. Exactly 46,89% of Icelanders use Facebook. Norway is number two with 40% of the population registered on Facebook.
According to the research, Facebook users worldwide are over 250 million. Only three countries in the world have a larger population than that, China, India and USA. More than 70 million US citizens use Facebook, making USA the highest in number but not coming close to Iceland´s per capita world record.

The president of Iceland, Mr. Olafur Ragnar Grimsson, fell of his horse last night in a riding tour in north of Iceland. His left shoulder got broken in the accident and the president was taken to a hospital by ambulance.
